What treatments are available?
For open angle glaucoma, there are many treatments that work by reducing pressure in the eye. The most common are available as eye drops, which help to improve drainage of fluid from the eye or reduce the production of fluid within the eye.
If these do not help enough, your ophthalmologist may suggest either laser treatment or an operation to reduce the accumulation of fluid in your eye. The ophthalmologist will discuss which method is most appropriate for you.
